Sinchon Sichuan restaurant for mala mapo tofu noodles: Cheonghwaweon

Cheonghwaweon is a Taiwanese-style Sichuan restaurant on Myeongmul-gil in Sinchon, Seoul, known for beef knife-cut noodles and dim sum. After a study session nearby, the writer ordered beef knife-cut noodles, oil-poured knife-cut noodles, xiaolongbao and mala mapo tofu at Cheonghwaweon, and the chilled oil-poured noodles stirred into the mala mapo tofu were the standout. With most dishes around 10,000 won, Cheonghwaweon is easy value for a student budget.
