Gangneung makguksu restaurant with free beach parking: Samgyori
Samgyori Dongchimi Makguksu Namhangjin branch is a makguksu (cold buckwheat noodle) restaurant facing Namhangjin Beach in Gangneung, a 10-minute drive from St. John's Hotel and Shilla Monogram Gangneung. Makguksu costs ₩11,000, boiled pork (small) ₩29,000 and buckwheat pancake ₩8,000, and one bowl is eaten three ways — first with perilla oil, then with bibim sauce, then in dongchimi broth. Only 4–5 cars fit in front of Samgyori, but the free Namhangjin Beach lot across the road solves parking, and baby chairs make it easy with kids.
