Tori paitan with giant chashu at Mentsuru, Gwangjin ramen shop
Mentsuru Children's Grand Park Branch is a ramen restaurant near Exit 4 of Children's Grand Park Station in Gwangjin, Seoul. The order was tori paitan (chicken broth ramen) topped with three chashu slices that each spanned two-thirds of the bowl, a smoky hormone-don (grilled beef intestine rice bowl, 15,000 won) and gyoza. At Mentsuru the hormone-don left a stronger impression than the ramen, and the place is worth a return trip when you want ramen in this part of Gwangjin.
