Yukhwang is a Korean restaurant on the first floor of Hanra One&One Tower, Building A, near Gasan Digital Complex Station in Geumcheon, Seoul. At Yukhwang, the writer ate a yukhoe bibimbap (seasoned raw beef rice bowl) set served in golden bowls with a plate of suyuk (boiled sliced beef), alternating a spoonful of bibimbap, a slice of suyuk and a sip of broth, and also covers yukhoe mulhoe (cold raw beef soup) with somyeon noodles. For days when you want rice and a meat dish together, Yukhwang's yukhoe bibimbap and plate suyuk combo is worth considering.

Gasan pizza place: New York steak & truffle half-and-half, Clap Pizza

Clap Pizza Gasan Public is a pizza restaurant in Building A of Gasan Public, near Gasan Digital Complex Station in Geumcheon, Seoul, sharing its space with Downtowner Burger. A large half-and-half takeout order of New York Steakhouse and Truffle Gorgonzola was quoted at 30-40 minutes but was ready in about 20, with a crisp bake and plenty of dough. For a hearty pizza and a mellow pizza in one box, Clap Pizza's half-and-half is a good pick.

Quiet 3 p.m. dakgalbi buffet in Guro, Seoul: Bak Jeongmi Dakgalbi

Bak Jeongmi Dakgalbi (listed on maps as Sagye Jinmi Charcoal Dakgalbi, Guro Digital Complex branch) is an all-you-can-eat dakgalbi (grilled chicken) and pork belly restaurant on the 3rd floor of Huijeon Building, near Exit 2 of Guro Digital Complex Station in Guro, Seoul. The writer went with a younger sibling at a quiet 3 p.m. and grilled salt-grilled dakgalbi, pork belly, thin-sliced pork belly, pork ribs and chicken neck, and even with few customers the kitchen fried a fresh batch of chicken for the self-serve bar. Bak Jeongmi Dakgalbi is worth a visit for a good-value Korean BBQ buffet or a roomy group dinner in Gudi.

Gasan Japanese restaurant: eel porridge to free shrimp aburi, Gapposo

Gapposo is a Japanese restaurant for aged sashimi and sushi on the first floor of Hyundai Terra Tower Gasan DK, near Gasan Digital Complex Station in Geumcheon, Seoul. The writer and a younger sibling ordered Gapposo's two-person sharing set with kaisendon (seafood rice bowl) and unagidong (eel rice bowl), and also tried eel porridge, mini udon, aged sashimi, chili chicken karaage and a complimentary raw shrimp aburi. Gapposo's sharing set for two is a good way to sample its signature Japanese dishes when two people can't decide what to order.
