On a weekday evening the order was the small assorted sashimi platter (red snapper, salmon, flounder, rockfish and seasonal live fish) plus raw shrimp sashimi with butter-grilled shrimp heads, the shrimp taken straight from the tank so the texture stayed springy. With a full spread of banchan and a self-serve pancake corner, Veteran General Fish Market turned out to be a far heartier meal than a single plate of sashimi.
