Boksakkot Pineun Jip Incheon Branch is a charcoal-grilled jjukkumi (baby octopus) restaurant on Hogupo-ro in Namdong, Incheon. For a weekend lunch the writer ordered the Jjuchipa Set (18,900 won) at spice level 2, which brought baby octopus with mozzarella cheese and pasta noodles plus rice balls, wood-fired pizza, salad and muksabal (chilled acorn jelly soup). With free side dish refills, group rooms and a large parking lot, Boksakkot Pineun Jip works well for family gatherings and work dinners in Guwol-dong.

Group dinner spot near Incheon City Hall: rib noodle hot pot, Guksuhwa

Guksuhwa is a Korean restaurant on Sorae-ro in Namdong-gu, Incheon, serving wang-galbi (king rib) noodle hot pot and kalguksu (knife-cut noodles). On a chilly evening the writer returned with her boyfriend and ordered the rib galbi noodle hot pot for two at 20,900 won per serving, which came with beef tendon, brisket and shank, then kalguksu and vegetable porridge to finish — more than two people could clear. With plenty of parking right out front and a wide hall, Guksuhwa works just as well for family meals, work dinners and wedding-invitation get-togethers.
