Across a Small Plate

Hongdae Korean restaurant with nearby university parking: Anok

Anok is a Korean restaurant serving clear gomtang (beef bone broth) and Pyongyang naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles) within walking distance of Hongik University Station in Mapo, Seoul. On this visit the clear gomtang, Pyongyang naengmyeon and Anok's signature braised pork tail came together as one table, alternating mild broth with spicy seasoning while kimchi and seokbakji kept the balance. Anok has no lot of its own, so using the Hongik University parking lot makes this quiet Korean meal an easy stop.
