Hongdae Korean restaurant for weekend noon naengje-yuk with kkakdugi

Anok is a hanok-style Korean restaurant a 7-minute walk from Exit 9 of Hongik University Station in Mapo, Seoul. Visiting on a weekend at noon, the writer ordered clear gomtang (beef/pork bone soup), Pyongyang naengmyeon (water-based) and naengje-yuk (chilled boiled pork), which turned out to be layered and far more generous than it looked, with the kkakdugi (radish kimchi) side dish standing out as especially good. Between the portions, prices and friendly service, this is a Hongdae gomtang spot the writer wants to revisit with family.
