Sokcho Topgol Makguksu Main Branch is a makguksu (buckwheat cold noodle) restaurant right in front of Sokcho Beach and the Sokcho Eye ferris wheel. The order covered deulmemak, buckwheat makguksu, a 17,000 won potato pancake served with a pizza cutter, and buckwheat perilla kalguksu (hot noodle soup); the pancake was too big to finish and went home in a box, while the perilla kalguksu was the clear winner of the meal. For sea views and makguksu in one stop, Sokcho Topgol Makguksu Main Branch is the right call.

Hoega is a budget-friendly sashimi restaurant in a Beonyeong-ro alley in Sokcho, Gangwon, popular for takeout as well as dine-in.
