Gangneung Hanwoo Chodang Uga is a charcoal-grilled hanwoo (Korean beef) restaurant behind the St. John's Hotel near Gangmun Beach in Gangneung. A family of five pre-booked Sageunjin Beach Room 5 and shared a 700g antibiotic-free hanwoo one-cow set for 186,000 won, fruit-fed pork galbi, and dessert mul-naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles) and doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew), with the chadolbagi (brisket) and kkotdeungsim (ribeye) the best of the platter. A 12kg Jindo mix dog could join after a phone check ahead, and Chodang Uga is worth a return visit.
