Bongpyeong makguksu restaurant with kelp vinegar: Memil Migayeon

Bongpyeong Memil Migayeon is a makguksu (cold buckwheat noodle) restaurant on Gipung-ro in Bongpyeong-myeon, Pyeongchang, Gangwon, serving noodles made from 100% buckwheat. A family of four came for Saturday lunch, waited about 30 minutes behind 15 parties, and ordered three migamyeon (water-style noodles), one bibim noodles and a buckwheat pancake. Even at 100% buckwheat the noodles held a real chew, and one or two spoonfuls of the kelp vinegar on the table changed the flavour completely.
