Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch is a Korean restaurant serving chicken kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) and jjimdak (braised chicken), located in the Songdo Zone 1 academy district of Yeonsu, Incheon, near the back gate of Songdo Food Mart. After a stop at a bread café with Mom, the writer had chicken kalguksu for two at 22,000 won, with Mom's bowl ordered using the kiosk's 'mild' option, and took home soy-braised jjimdak for 29,000 won for dinner. With slow-simmered chicken drumsticks and 24-hour aged house-made noodles, Eonyang Dak Kalguksu is a 100% return visit.

Ansan Korean restaurant for pollack-minari salad with bossam: Todamok

Todamok (토담옥) is a Korean restaurant on Daejaengi-gil in Seonbu-dong, Ansan, that specializes in roe and milt kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) and works for both lunch and evening drinks. On a weekend with Mom and her husband, the writer had the two-person kalguksu and small bossam set (₩39,000), spicy pollack and minari (water dropwort) salad and a potato pancake, and found that eating the pollack salad with bossam like samhap (a three-way wrap) made an especially good drinking snack. With generous portions and tasty side dishes, Todamok is worth recommending as both a lunch spot and a place for drinks in Seonbu-dong, Ansan.

Ansan eel buffet family dinner, spicy ramyeon twice: Songnim Bok

Songnim Bok Jangeo is an all-you-can-eat freshwater eel restaurant on the 2nd floor of Praum City in Gojan, Ansan, Gyeonggi, near Ansan City Hall. On a weekday family visit, the eel, whole pork belly and chicken neck kept coming for 2 hours at 29,900 won per adult, and the spicy ramyeon ordered to cut the richness was good enough to order twice. With baby chairs and a self-serve corner, Songnim Bok Jangeo suits family meals and group dinners alike.
