Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch is a chicken kalguksu (chicken noodle soup) restaurant in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, toward the back gate of the 1-gongu Songdo food mart. On a day out with her aunts, the writer stopped in because the restaurant sits right in front of their Songdo hotel and ordered chicken kalguksu and dak-gomtang (chicken rice soup) at 11,000 won each, spooning up the nutty perilla-seed broth even after a day of snacking. Half a chicken per bowl made it a filling meal, and being able to pick a spicy kimchi on the side was a welcome extra.

Cenacolo Artfore is an Italian restaurant on the 2nd floor of Artfore Building C in Songdo, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. On a weekend meal with friends, the table started with the avocado bean salad (19,000 won), basil pesto pasta (21,000 won) and mushroom cream risotto (23,000 won), then added a calamari pasta (24,000 won) because the first three were so good, for four dishes in all.
