Solo snack meal in Seocho: bibim mandu and garaetteok tteokbokki
Deokjane Bangatgan is a snack restaurant near Sinnonhyeon Station in Seocho, Seoul, known for its thick garaetteok tteokbokki. Eating solo, the writer ordered tteokbokki and bibim mandu, and found the rice cake's firm, chewy texture and the crispy-fried mandu wrapper folded with crunchy vegetables especially memorable. The bibim mandu stood out enough to be called the best of any snack dish tried so far.
