Saesol-dong eel buffet for a cold after Gungpyeong Port: Songrim

Songrim Bok Jangeo Freshwater Eel All-You-Can-Eat Saesol Direct Branch is an all-you-can-eat freshwater eel restaurant in Saesol-dong, Hwaseong, where diners help themselves to eel, pork belly and chicken neck from a self-bar and grill everything at the table. Feeling a cold coming on, the writer stopped by with her husband on the way home from a day out at Gungpyeong Port, ate plump eel wrapped in perilla leaves with shredded ginger and finished with pork belly. The front sign says eel + duck + pork belly, but the actual lineup is eel + pork belly + chicken neck; know that going in and Songrim Bok Jangeo is a filling spot for a restorative meal.

Dongtan pub for a post-IMAX date: minari clam soup at Jusangnakwon

Jusangnakwon Dongtan North Plaza (주상낙원 동탄북광장점) is a Korean pub serving Korean dishes with drinks on Dongtanjungsimsangga 2-gil in Dongtan 1, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi. After a movie at Dongtan IMAX, a couple came to Jusangnakwon for dinner and a date, ordering maesil wonju (plum liquor), minari clam soup and flame-grilled Iberico pork jowl; the refreshing, spicy clam broth and the subtle smoky flavor of the Iberico pork stood out. With its quiet, spacious room, Jusangnakwon is a good Dongtan bar for a drink for two after a movie.
