Bossam restaurant in Hapjeong with buckwheat makgeolli: Pyeongidambaek
Pyeongidambaek Ppyeo Kalguksu Main Branch is a Korean bossam and kalguksu restaurant in Mapo, Seoul, a 5-minute walk from Mangwon Station Exit 1 and close to Hongdae and Hapjeong. On a weekend lunch, two people shared a medium bossam suyuk (boiled pork wraps) for 42,000 won, anchovy kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) for 5,000 won and Bongpyeong buckwheat raw makgeolli (unfiltered rice wine) for 5,000 won. The five-layer pork belly was chewy with no gamey smell, and the anchovy broth at Pyeongidambaek was worth finishing to the last sip.
