Hapjeong Station Italian restaurant for a date: Hongdae Hwadeok Pizza
Hongdae Hwadeok Pizza is a wood-fired pizza and pasta restaurant on Dokmak-ro 7-gil near Hapjeong Station in Mapo, Seoul, in the same spot since 2012. Two friends, one of them pregnant, shared a Quattro Stagioni pizza, Gamberi Crema shrimp cream pasta and fresh-squeezed orange and grapefruit ade, and the owner reheated the pasta once it had cooled. The wood-tone room does not echo, so conversation stays easy — a comfortable pick for a blind date or a date near Hongdae.
