Cheomdan Chinese restaurant, grapefruit cream shrimp for two: Mayway
Mayway is a Chinese restaurant that opened about a month ago on the main road in front of Lotte Mart in Cheomdan, Gwangsan, Gwangju. Two adults ordered the solo set meal (jjajang + jjamppong + tangsuyuk), a half order of grapefruit cream shrimp and the signature perilla-leaf stone jjajang, then slid the set meal's jjajang noodles onto the hot stone griddle to keep them warm and, on a staff member's suggestion, fried rice on the griddle at the end. Parking in the alley beside Mayway is awkward, but the food is good enough to put up with it — a certain repeat visit.
