Hongdae katsu restaurant, pepper-dipped cheese katsu: Katsu Monster
Katsu Monster Yeonnam Main Branch is a casual Japanese tonkatsu restaurant in a Yeonnam-dong alley in Mapo, Seoul, a 7-minute walk from Hongik University Station Exit 3. The solo set was swapped to cheese katsu and paired with spicy fish cake udon: the mozzarella filled the cutlet right through and stretched, and of all the table sauces, dipping it in pepper tasted best. With a long bar counter built for eating alone, Katsu Monster is a solid choice for a filling solo meal in Hongdae or Yeonnam-dong.
