Charcoal cleansing balm for combination skin: HEEDA Jirisan Moist
In short
I have used HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Cleansing Balm nightly for combination skin since last year and am now on my third jar. It felt especially thorough on oil around my T-zone and nose without leaving my skin as tight, though I would still use separate eye remover for eye makeup.

Why have I used it for three jars on combination skin?

I have used it every night as part of my cleansing routine since last year, and I am now on my third jar. My skin is combination skin, with an oily T-zone and dry cheeks, and I kept using it because my nose and forehead felt clean after washing without my skin feeling tight.

Compared with using cleansing foam alone, the bumpy texture around my nose seemed less noticeable. With continued use, I also felt that the uneven texture visible on both cheeks had lessened, which pleased me. This is based on how it felt in my own use.

Are the texture and container easy to use?

The black cylindrical container was easy to bring to home, on trips, or to my partner’s home. It came with a small spoon for scooping out the product, which made it convenient to use.

Although it looked firmly set, it scooped out softly with the spoon. When pressed between my palms, it had a texture that melted like ice cream.
What order did I use it in?

I scooped out an appropriate amount, softened it in my palms, and lightly rolled it over my face. I gently rubbed the areas of uneven texture that concerned me and my T-zone, rinsed with lukewarm water, then finished lightly with cleansing foam. I have generally removed my makeup in this order since last year.

How much color makeup did it remove?

I tested it by applying eyeshadow, a contour palette, and eyeliner to my forearm. After applying it once and rubbing gently, most of it came off, and even the eyeliner drawn last was almost removed. However, I thought I should still use separate eye remover at the end.

What ingredients and test results does the product highlight?

The product description mentions 10,000 ppm of fine charcoal particles, along with plant-derived moisturizing ingredients such as green tea water, jojoba seed oil, and olive squalane. It also presented the brand’s test results for improvements related to skin texture, the moisture barrier, and pores after one use. Those figures are not results from my personal use.
