Home stepper with core workout: Melkin Step Flip 2-in-1
In short
Melkin Step Flip 2-in-1 is a home fitness machine I used in Korea for both stepping and abdominal exercise. It felt stable and relatively quiet on my first try, with adjustable resistance, footplate angle, and handle height; I found it comfortable to use, though I still want to see whether I can keep the habit going.

What kind of exercise did I choose it for at home?
Even when I started exercising at home, I often stopped after just a few days. Abdominal exercises in particular were hard to get into position for, and I was never sure whether I was feeling the right muscle engagement. While looking for a machine that could combine stepping and abdominal exercise, I ended up using the Melkin Step Flip 2-in-1.
The delivery packaging was neat and the components were organized, so assembly was not difficult. The 2-in-1 design that works the abs as well as the lower body was the main reason I chose it.
How did it feel for wobbling and knee strain on the first try?
When I first stepped on it, it felt more stable than I expected. With its triple-rail structure, it had little wobble as it moved and felt smooth to step up on.

Rather than using effort to keep my balance, I could focus on my abs and lower body. Even when moving as if I were climbing stairs, the impact did not feel significant to me, and my knees felt comfortable during the workout.

Can it be adjusted for workout intensity and body type?
Because I could adjust the resistance, I was able to start gently and gradually increase the intensity. As someone starting to exercise, this made it feel less daunting.

The footplate angle was adjustable too, so I could set it according to the area I wanted to target. The handle height could also be adjusted for different body types, so I thought it could work well for family members to use together.
Did I feel my abs working while stepping?
After using it myself, I strongly felt that I was using my core along with my legs rather than moving only my legs. For me, it made abdominal exercise feel like a natural continuation, so it was convenient to work out without separating the movements.

Its flip design let me switch between forward and reverse directions while exercising. I found it less boring than repeating the same movement, which made it easier to keep going.

How were the noise level and feel for home use?
I did not find the noise during use significant. I thought that would make it comfortable to exercise in the evening as well. The cushioning made my wrists and joints feel less strained, and overall it felt comfortable to use.

Even as someone just starting home workouts, I did not find its operating structure intimidating. This time, I want to keep at it and build a habit of exercising at home.
