Cheonho Station gukbap restaurant for a hangover cure: Boseung Hoegwan

Boseung Hoegwan Cheonho Station Branch is a 24-hour sundaeguk (blood sausage soup) and boiled pork restaurant a 2-minute walk from Cheonho Station Exit 4 in Gangdong, Seoul. Nursing a hangover from the night before, the writer ordered the solo special set with spicy pork jowl gukbap (16,000 won) plus mul-naengmyeon (cold noodle soup, 9,000 won), and the sharp cheongyang chili heat against the icy broth cleared the head fast. Quality is said to vary between Boseung Hoegwan branches, and the Cheonho Station branch was the best of the ones the writer has tried.
