Kkankkanhan Jokbal Yongbong Branch is a jokbal (braised pig's trotter) restaurant near the Jeoncheolwoo intersection in Yongbong-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju. On a weekday evening after finishing a move, the writer and her mother ordered charcoal-grilled jokbal and flying fish roe rice balls to go with beer, and the meal came with a basic side spread, fish cake soup and steamed egg. The smoky, chewy jokbal and warm service made Kkankkanhan Jokbal a happy first meal out after moving day.
