Anok is a Korean restaurant set in a preserved hanok (traditional Korean house) in an alley a 7-minute walk from Hongik University Station Exit 9 in Mapo, Seoul. Two diners walked in on a weekend evening with no wait and shared pork gomtang at 13,000 won, Pyongyang naengmyeon (water-style) at 14,000 won and pork tail jjim at 29,000 won, all in generous portions. Corkage is 30,000 won per bottle with no limit on bottles, and since Anok is hard to book and seats guests in order of arrival, it suits treating visiting friends from abroad or older family.
