Potato pancake brunch at Daecheongmaru, a Sokcho tofu restaurant
Daecheongmaru is a Chodang sundubu (soft tofu) Korean restaurant on Gwangwang-ro in Sokcho, Gangwon, with its own parking lot about 10 minutes by car from downtown. Arriving at 10am on a Friday for brunch meant no wait, and Sokcho Chodang sundubu at 14,000 won, Sokcho dried pollack hangover soup at 15,000 won and a potato pancake at 16,000 won were more than two people could finish. Daecheongmaru also hands out its homemade tofu lees for free, which makes it an easy stop on a Sokcho family trip.
