Cleansing foam for dry, sensitive skin: HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal

I tried HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Hydrating Cleansing Foam, a low-pH cleansing foam, on my dry skin. The product information states that it has completed a sensitive-skin irritation test and offers sunscreen cleansing power and improved skin hydration.

What are the packaging and texture like?

This 150ml tube came in a box sealed with a sticker. It was marked as usable for 12 months after opening.

The formula was fairly thick and dispensed in a consistent amount. Even with a small amount and water, it easily made a dense, elastic lather. I could also notice a subtle charcoal scent without finding it off-putting.

How did I use it?

For my morning and evening cleanse, I used an appropriate amount, worked it into a full lather with water, gently massaged my whole face, and rinsed with lukewarm water.

How did it feel after cleansing?

I tried cleansing with this product alone, without separately using cleansing balm or oil, or lip-and-eye remover. It tended to remove even heavy makeup cleanly, and my skin felt hydrated and smooth afterward. My skin did not feel especially tight.

According to the product information, it contains Korean charcoal, seven types of hyaluronic acid complex, Aqua Ceramide, and plant-derived moisturizing ingredients. Figures such as 98% sunscreen cleansing and a 78% immediate hydration improvement after one use are based on the product’s own information.

Who might it suit?

For dry skin like mine, it may be worth considering when looking for a cleansing foam that leaves less tightness after washing. Skin reactions vary, though, so people with sensitive skin should use it while paying attention to their own skin condition.
