Was one cleanse enough on a sunscreen-only day?
I do not usually wear full makeup, but I tend to apply sunscreen thoroughly. When I washed my face with this product alone at the end of the day, I felt that the sunscreen came off without issue in one cleanse.
With mildly acidic cleansers, I have sometimes cleansed twice because they felt gentle and less irritating but seemed to leave residue. This one also tended to remove light color makeup, and even after cleansing twice, it left a moisturized feel with less tightness.
How did the foam and scent feel?
When I dispensed it into my palm and worked it in, it produced dense, springy foam. The product itself was black at first, but the foam was white, and because it was soft, it also felt less irritating on my skin.
The scent seemed like a subtle soapy scent with a charcoal note added. It was not strong, but I think the scent itself may be a matter of personal preference.
