Window-seat gopchang stew and rice ball before a show: Hyehwahwa
Hyehwahwa is a Korean grilled-food bar tucked on the second floor of an alley near Hyehwa Station in Daehangno, Jongno, Seoul. Visiting at 5pm before a piano show, the writer started with beef tartare then went all in on gopchang stew (beef intestine stew), adding glass noodles and a rice ball to make it a full meal. The window seat with a tiled-roof view made it a quiet, comfortable spot to eat before or after a show, though the lack of draft beer was a letdown.
