Ordering the Hitsumabushi Set with a whole eel at 38,000 won and the Mini with half an eel at 26,000 won side by side showed identical eel thickness and grilling, so the choice comes down to how much you want to eat, and an assorted tempura plate at 30,000 won rounded out the table. At Unagiwa the eel stays smoky and crisp outside, tender inside, and never grows tiring across all four stages through the closing ochazuke.
