Solo lunch kalguksu and boiled dumplings at Jongga Mandu, Jongno
Jongga Mandu is a handmade dumpling restaurant near Jongno 3-ga station in Jongno, Seoul. On a rainy late lunch alone, the writer tried the signature mash-and-mix bibim kalguksu (spicy mixed noodle soup) and a half-kimchi, half-meat boiled dumpling plate, where flat dumplings get snipped thin with scissors and stirred right into the noodles. The bibim kalguksu alone was plenty for one person, so the dumplings got packed to go.
