Sakura roman sake and millefeuille nabe at Ito, a Konkuk izakaya
Ito is an izakaya on the basement floor of a building down an alley near Konkuk University Station in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. Over sakura roman sake poured from an ice-filled tokkuri, this visit paired millefeuille nabe (26,000 won) with 21-piece assorted sashimi (39,000 won) and abalone steamed in sake, and both the chilling and the plating were spot on. With soft lighting, partitioned booths and counter seats, Ito is a quiet Konkuk bar for a slow night of drinks.
