₩26,000 gopchang stew for two in Yongbong-dong, Gwangju: Kim Taeju
Kim Taeju Seonsan Gopchang, Yongbong Branch is a gopchang (beef tripe) stew restaurant in Yongbong-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju, tucked behind the Jeoncheolwoo intersection in front of the Yongbong Hyundai 3-cha apartments. Two people paid 26,000 won in total for two servings of gopchang stew plus fried rice and a cola, and because the tripe is fresh, the owner watched the clock and called out when the pot was ready and when to add the kimchi. Portions are generous for the price and the newly opened dining room is spotless, making Kim Taeju Seonsan Gopchang a solid dinner before a second round of drinks.
