150°C stone-griddle jjukkumi jjajang and seafood soup: Mayway, Gwangju
Mayway is a stone-griddle jjajang (black bean noodle sauce) Chinese restaurant in Cheomdan, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju. The stone-griddle jjukkumi (baby octopus) jjajang heated to 150°C and the crispy seafood scorched-rice soup made a memorable pair, finished with the staff mixing leftover jjajang sauce into rice right on the hot stone. A great pick for a day when plain jjajangmyeon just won't do.
