Sokcho market squid sundae for a pregnant traveler: Ddogi-ne Twigim

Ddogi-ne Twigim (서민갑부 똑이네 튀김) is a fried-food and snack shop inside Sokcho Jungang Market in Sokcho, Gangwon, known as the original home of nurungji squid sundae (squid stuffed with filling and coated in crispy scorched rice). The pregnant writer ordered with no line, waited about 15 minutes for a takeout nurungji squid sundae, then reheated it in the microwave at the lodging and found it crispy outside and nutty. Ddogi-ne Twigim is not especially cheap, but its nurungji squid sundae tasted better than the egg-battered version.
