Dongtan gomtang restaurant with an herbal neungi mushroom set: Baekok
Baekok Dongtan is a pork gomtang (Korean pork bone soup) restaurant in the Food Avenue food hall on basement level 1 of Lotte Department Store in Dongtan, Hwaseong. As a lunch stop during a shopping trip, the yakgomtang set (21,000 won) came with a broth deepened by neungi mushrooms and milkvetch root, with no gamey smell, and the rice arrived toryeom-style, already mixed with broth so it was ready to eat right away instead of scalding hot. With no break time and a bar table for single diners, Baekok Dongtan is an easy place to eat alone.
