Easy White Bread Bucheon Sinjung-dong is a fresh-loaf bakery near Exit 3 of Sinjungdong Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi. The writer took away a half Golden Beurre loaf cut to 2cm with 2 Momos brewed coffees. The rich butter flavor was good enough to taste before getting home, the Golden Beurre loaf was still delicious untoasted the next day, and it finished well with peanut butter spread on top. For a soft loaf full of butter aroma, the Golden Beurre at Easy White Bread is an easy recommendation.

The café is known for its Wunder Gato, a latte topped with hojicha and vanilla ice cream. On a busy weekend, the writer ordered a twist mix Wunder Gato and a tangerine-grapefruit juice and enjoyed them as dessert at an outdoor seat with dogs coming and going. Verdict: if you like affogato, the Wunder Gato at Wunder Coffee Bar is a must-try while shopping at Songhyeona.

Guseoktaengi2016 (구석탱이2016) is a Korean restaurant near Mansu Station in Mansu-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon, whose signature dish is spicy galbijjim (braised short ribs) cooked with Jeolla-style kimchi aged for over 6 months. The writer booked through Naver and ordered the Jeolla aged-kimchi spicy galbijjim and Bongpyeong buckwheat pancake set at spice level 1, and two people ate their fill with self-serve fried eggs and large bowls of rice. Guseoktaengi2016 is a solid Mansu-dong pick for aged kimchi galbijjim, whether for lunch or an evening of drinks.

Bucheon Korean restaurant, 5pm cockles for two: Gim Myeongju

Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang (김명주뜰안채밥상) Sinjung-dong Branch is a Korean set-meal restaurant in Bucheon, a 3-minute walk from Sinjung-dong Station, where side dishes, rice and cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew) are all unlimited refills. Two people arrived at 5pm, ordered two 13,000-won Tteuranchae set meals plus an à la carte cockle dish, and went back to the self-bar for fried lotus root, mul kimchi (water kimchi) and barley rice. The sides at Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang were seasoned just right (the anchovy and shishito pepper side was refilled three times), and with a ground-floor café for waiting, it works well for group meals.

Angry Potato Hyundai Department Store Jungdong Branch is a fries shop in the B1 food hall of Hyundai Department Store Jungdong, near Bucheon City Hall Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi. The blogger ordered Angry Meat fries (8,200 won), a large Chewy Potato (6,500 won), a mini double beef burger (3,600 won), Chili's cheese sticks (4,000 won) and a medium chocolate shake (2,500 won), ate in, and helped themselves to the free self-serve sauces. Crispy outside and chewy inside, Angry Potato's Chewy Potato was good enough to order in large again next time.

Guwol-dong ramen: mild vs Shin Ramyun-spicy dongpo pork, Menya Seoul

Menya Seoul Lotte Department Store Incheon Branch is a ramen shop on the B1 floor of Lotte Department Store Incheon in Guwol-dong, Incheon. The writer ordered a set with mild dongpo pork (braised pork belly) ramen and karaage (Japanese fried chicken) and received a free Coca-Cola keycap keychain. A companion had the spicy dongpo chashu ramen, about as hot as Shin Ramyun. The broth was less salty than Japanese ramen, easy to drink to the last drop, and dongpo pork ramen is a safe first order at Menya Seoul.
