Weekend wait and hangjeongsal at a Jongno pork belly spot: Cham
Cham Dwaejitgan Jongno Main Branch is a samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly) restaurant on the first floor of the Piccadilly CGV in Jongno 3-ga, Seoul. After putting our names on the weekend dinner waitlist, we had Boseong black pork samgyeopsal and hangjeongsal (pork jowl) grilled from start to finish by the owner, then finished with Jirisan kudzu bibim naengmyeon (cold mixed noodles) and doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew). Expectations were low for such a busy entertainment district, but both the meat quality and the closing dishes at Cham Dwaejitgan were satisfying.
