Gangdong hagfish restaurant: spicy vs garlic at Ppalgan Kkomjangeo

Ppalgan Kkomjangeo (빨간꼼장어) is an aged hagfish (kkomjangeo) specialist that has been running for 14 years in the Dunchon Market alley in Seongnae-dong, Gangdong, Seoul, near Dunchondong Station. A Gangdong local visited on a weekday evening on a friend's recommendation, ordered the giant hagfish in both the spicy red and garlic flavors, and added volcano steamed egg and rice balls. The verdict: both were delicious, but Ppalgan Kkomjangeo's spicy red hagfish came out a notch ahead.

Misa comic café 2-hour evening visit: Naruto at Real Toon, Hanam

Real Toon Comic Café is a comic café on the 9th floor of a building on Misagangbyeon-jungang-ro in Misa, Hanam, Gyeonggi, where you can read manga, play Nintendo Switch and board games, and eat a meal in one space. A married couple visited in the evening and stayed a little over 2 hours, reading 4 volumes of Naruto over a cheese dakgalbi (spicy chicken with cheese) rice bowl and cheese nachos. With parking covered for up to 5 hours, Real Toon is an easy indoor date spot in Misa to settle into.
