Japanese restaurant in Songjeong, Busan: tamago fry and tori-don, Yuok

Yuok is a Japanese restaurant serving eel rice bowls and set meals on Songjeongangbyeon-ro in Haeundae, Busan. Ansan sashimi restaurant with live octopus: Eochongye 1beonji

Daebudo kalguksu spot at 11am: mushroom kalguksu for two, Haemokjeong

Haemokjeong Daebudo Branch is a seafood restaurant in Ansan, Gyeonggi, specialising in dishes like spicy seafood stew and braised short ribs. Arriving seven minutes before the 11am opening, the writer ordered mushroom kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) for two, and was served first even as tour groups filled the parking lot and dining room within minutes — early enough to catch the train. If you want a clean, mildly spicy broth in Daebudo instead of the usual clam kalguksu, the mushroom kalguksu at Haemokjeong Daebudo Branch is the answer.
