Ongijeong Suseong Lake Branch has a large parking lot, rare around Suseongmot, which makes it a smart pick for a meal before or after a lakeside walk.

Beomeo-dong, Daegu Korean restaurant: no-wait squid pork with a baby

Banwoldang Buja Sikdang Suseong Branch is a fire-grilled squid and pork stir-fry restaurant in Beomeo-dong, Suseong, Daegu, and the second location of the original Banwoldang restaurant. The writer visited with an 11-month-old son around 2:30 pm, before the break time, with no reservation, and had no wait. The writer ate 2 servings of spicy ojebokkeum (squid and pork stir-fry) with black rice and the included cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew), and noticed no difference in taste from the Banwoldang original. Verdict: Banwoldang Buja Sikdang Suseong Branch serves the same flavor people wait an hour for at Banwoldang, right away and in a more comfortable space.
