Akiaki is a Japanese restaurant in Bongmyeong-dong, Cheongju, centred on traditional Japanese omakase courses, and the Akiaki kitchen is run by a former head chef of JW Marriott Gangnam and a head of kitchen formerly at Ariake in The Shilla hotel. Akiaki's courses include seasonal sashimi, chef's special sushi, fresh tuna dishes, grilled wagyu chuck flap, scallops topped with truffle and caviar, lobster boil, braised black cod and clam shabu-shabu, and in summer Akiaki serves a restorative course featuring bisque bouillabaisse, braised eel with tofu, lobster steak and hamo (pike conger) shabu-shabu.

At lunch, Akiaki offers sashimi courses along with single dishes and set meals such as dried yellow croaker (boribulgulbi), seafood cold raw fish soup (mulhoe), raw fish bibimbap (hoedeopbap) and a ryokan-style set meal.
