About

Ijjiba Ramen makes ramen in the traditional Japanese way with a broth of Korean pork bones simmered for 30 hours, and Ijjiba Ramen says it keeps artificial seasonings and processed products to a minimum. Alongside the standard Tonkotsu Ramen, Ijjiba Ramen serves the saltier Mania Tonkotsu Ramen, the spicy Karai Ramen, Miso Ramen and Red Snow Crab & Mentaiko Cream Ramen, plus Hiyashi Chuka, a cold ramen that Ijjiba Ramen presents as its Sokcho signature.

The owner of Ijjiba Ramen learned the craft from five ramen masters in Saitama City, Chichibu, Shinjuku (Tokyo), Osaka and Tsuruhashi, and first opened in Busan in 2006 under the name 'Chichibu Ramen'. After closing in Busan in 2024, the shop moved to Sokcho and now makes its broth there as Ijjiba Ramen, which besides ramen also offers rice bowls such as butadon and chashu-don, along with draft beer and highballs.
