Surf Horang is run by a married couple, a former middle-school PE teacher and an active shortboard competitor, and the Surf Horang instructors hold qualifications as certified PE teachers, water rescue lifeguards, sports instructors for adults, youth and seniors, and Yangyang County surf instructors. Surf Horang sits on shallow Seorak Beach, about 10 seconds from the shop to the sea, and its lessons are tiered into the intro lesson, kids' and family lessons, level 2 and 3 lessons covering long rides and catching waves on your own, and feedback-focused level-up lessons and camps.
After a lesson at Surf Horang, guests can use six single-person shower rooms separated by gender, a separate powder room, self-serve welcome drinks (iced tea, brewed coffee, hot chocolate), an outdoor fitness zone and a rest area. Surf Horang also runs a pension in the same place, where a barbecue and outdoor kitchen are available in the evening from 18:00 to 23:00.
