Handmade burgers in Jung, Seoul with free chips: BAS Burger
In short
BAS Burger Euljiro Branch is a handmade burger restaurant in Jung, Seoul. I visited with a friend for a Wasabi Mayo Shrimp Burger and a Sriracha Cheese Burger, and the free-refill thin, crisp potato chips stood out; the dark stairs down to the basement need care.

I went to BAS Burger Euljiro Branch with a friend for handmade burgers in Euljiro 3-ga. I had visited BAS Burger from time to time before, and I liked the free-refill potato chips. This time, we chose one shrimp burger and one meat burger.

Where is BAS Burger Euljiro Branch?
The restaurant is on B1 of Thierso Hotel, 11 Eulji-ro 12-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul. Nearby public and private parking lots were recommended, and the information said that group visits, takeout, delivery, reservations, and simple payments were available.

The place had a distinctive atmosphere even from outside. The stairs leading down to the basement were a little dark, so I needed to watch my step.

What are the atmosphere and seating like?
The lighting and unusual interior gave it the feel of an American bar. The restaurant was neither especially large nor small—about average in size.

At the back, there were seats suited to dining alone as well as long tables for several people. I thought it would work well for lunch with friends or a group get-together.

How do the free-refill potato chips work?
I could take potato chips for free from the self-service bar by the entrance. There was pepper to sprinkle on them if desired, as well as water, ketchup, and tissues at the front.

The potato chips were thin and crisp. They were salty and nutty, making them easy to pick at while waiting for the burgers, and I kept reaching for more.
Which burgers and sides did we order?

I chose the Wasabi Mayo Shrimp Burger set with coleslaw and Zero Cola. My friend ordered a Sriracha Cheese Burger with Mountain Dew and cheese bacon fries. We also added a mozzarella cheese stick to have with the burgers and sides.

My friend, who likes cheese and meat, changed the fries to cheese bacon fries topped with thick, rich cheese. I changed mine to coleslaw because a heavier side alongside a burger is hard for me to eat. There was no extra charge for changing to coleslaw that day.

The mozzarella cheese stick was ₩3,000. It was filled with mozzarella, and I liked how the cheese stretched out as I ate it. It was one of the extra sides I enjoyed that day.

Can you adjust a burger order, and how was the shrimp burger?
I could leave out sauces or adjust how much the onions were cooked. My friend ordered the Sriracha Cheese Burger without the sriracha sauce.

With my first bite of the Wasabi Mayo Shrimp Burger, I could feel the springy texture of the shrimp. It had a subtle smoky flavor, and I was satisfied with the combination of sweet teriyaki sauce and the sharp kick of wasabi.

Overall, I felt the patty and vegetables were well balanced. It would be a good place to stop by for lunch with a friend or a casual date, and the solo seats also make it fine to visit alone. The crisp potato chips with free refills were especially memorable.
