Silicone-tip hair removal cream for leg hair: MEDIPICKME Touch-Up

In short

MEDIPICKME Touch-Up Removal Cream is a 150ml hair removal cream with a silicone tip built into the tube, so you can apply it without getting it on your hands. Applied to short, coarse leg hair that had grown back after shaving and left on for 5 to 10 minutes, MEDIPICKME Touch-Up Removal Cream lifted hair onto the wet wipe, but the short, bristly hairs took several rounds of rubbing, which got tedious. This hair removal cream suits body hair kept long and fine far better than freshly shaved stubble.

Why I tried MEDIPICKME Touch-Up Removal Cream

MEDIPICKME Touch-Up Removal Cream 150ml product

Now that it's warm enough for short sleeves and shorts, leg hair is the thing I stress about most (am I the only one?!). Shave at home with a razor and it's back again before you know it — so annoying. I hate how it gets coarse and thick, and waxing means booking an appointment, which is a whole hassle in itself. It's also not something I want to do that often! So while looking for something I could do easily at home, I tried MEDIPICKME Touch-Up Removal Cream.

Step-by-step guide for using Touch-Up Removal Cream

How to use the hair removal cream: apply, wait 5 minutes, wipe off

  • "Apply" Spread it evenly so it fully covers the hair.
  • "5 minutes" Wait 5-10 minutes (time varies depending on the area).
  • "Wipe off" Wipe away with a wet towel or rinse with water.
  • "Done" For short, coarse hair, repeat a few times.

The silicone tip keeps the cream off your hands

You don't have to rub it in with your fingers, so the silicone tip keeps things clean and there's no hygiene worry. It's a cute little product too, easy to use, and the curved silicone tip actually feels handy once you try it.

It's passed low-irritation testing! Apparently it contains a patented soothing ingredient, so it's supposed to be fine even for sensitive skin. There's no age restriction stated, but no for pregnant or breastfeeding people! Skin that's still developing can be more sensitive to it too, so a patch test on a small area first is a good idea. Since it's a product applied directly to skin, you do need to check the instructions carefully, but I felt like I could trust it.

‼️Warning: lots of leg hair‼️ ‼️Warning: not pretty‼️ ‼️Slightly embarrassing‼️

Which body hair MEDIPICKME Touch-Up Removal Cream works best on

Can you see how short and coarse my leg hair is... lol. Embarrassing, but it's kind of like a scouring pad honestly. MEDIPICKME Touch-Up Removal Cream really works better on hair kept long and fine, rather than hair that's regrown after shaving like mine. Since it's a cream that dissolves the hair, short coarse hair needs a lot of rubbing, and whatever's left tends to just snap off rather than come out cleanly — having to reapply several times can get tedious.

Holding the tube-style depilatory cream

It contains 80% thioglycolic acid, which is said to dissolve the hair at the root, so hair supposedly gets softer with repeated use. It comes in a tube instead of a scoop-out jar, so it's easy to use. It's said to be gentler than other depilatory creams with soothing ingredients added, but everyone's skin is different, so do a patch test first!

Cream applied to the leg

How I applied the cream on my legs, step by step

I applied a generous amount of the cream to my legs, which had a good amount of hair, and spread it with the silicone tip. You need to adjust the wait time depending on how thick and long the hair is, and just make sure it's fully covered. Rubbing it in with your fingers makes it hard to get an even layer, so use the attached silicone tip instead.

Hair coming off on a wet wipe after wiping

You're supposed to wipe it off with a wet towel or rinse with water, but when I wiped with a wet wipe, this is what came off. Short, coarse hair needs several applications, and if you get redness, spots, or a stinging feeling afterward, cool the skin with a cold compress to calm it down.

Precautions before using MEDIPICKME Touch-Up Removal Cream

  • ❌ Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • ❌ Do not reapply right after hair removal.
  • ❌ Do not use on broken or wounded skin.
  • ❌ Do not use on the anus, bikini area, or face.

It's said to contain a patented brightening ingredient, so along with hair removal you're supposed to get a brighter, cleaner-looking skin tone too — I plan to keep using it and see.
