What red snow crab takeout did I have at Sokcho Jungang Market?

At Yes Susan (예스수산), a red snow crab and king crab takeout specialist at Sokcho Jungang Market, I had a red snow crab lunch box and a marinated crab fried rice lunch box. What stayed with me was how easy it was to take the prepared food home and eat it comfortably.

The red snow crab lunch box was ₩25,000 and the marinated crab fried rice lunch box was ₩8,000, for a total of ₩33,000. I was satisfied even with the least expensive red snow crab option I chose.

Is the shop easy to find, and is parking available?

The shop was at the entrance before going into an alley at Sokcho Jungang Market. I did not have to go deep into the busy market, and the shop was clearly visible, so it was easy to find.

The location shown on Naver Map also helped me find it. Below is a photo I took on the way to the shop.

The 안내 said I could use the Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market public parking lot or the Jungang Market underground parking lot, and that a free 30-minute parking voucher was provided. The place I introduced for parking is the Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market Large Parking Lot attached to the map. There were some spaces available at 6 PM on Sunday.

How was it after taking it home?

The owner packed it in an insulated bag. I picked it up at 7 PM and ate it around 9 PM, so I was concerned about the condition of the marinated crab before opening it. When I ate it, though, it seemed fresh in both smell and taste.

Was the prepared crab and cleanup convenient?

Peeling crab shells and picking out the meat can sometimes feel cumbersome. Here, it was prepared for easy eating, so there was less effort involved in getting the meat out.

The marinated crab fried rice was already mixed, so I could eat it straight away with a spoon. After eating, I only had to clear away the crab shells, which made cleanup easy too.

What are the hours and ordering or payment options?

According to the original post, hours are 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM, and the shop is closed every Tuesday. Along with walk-in takeout, Naver reservations and orders and Baedal Minjok delivery were also listed as available.

Zero Pay, Sokcho Love Gift Certificates, and local currency were also listed as accepted.

Do I need a reservation before visiting on a weekend evening?

When I visited at 7 PM on a weekend, every menu item had sold out. If you plan to visit late, I recommend using a Naver reservation or asking the shop about stock in advance.

Being able to order ahead on Naver and pick it up also seemed convenient. I was satisfied with the red snow crab and fried rice I had this time, and next time I would like to try the premium king crab and steamed scallop combination too.
