What is Feast like?
Feast is a newly opened brunch restaurant in the café street behind the JYP building in Seongnae-dong, where you can enjoy nicely done brunch, pasta and risotto. My husband and I finally had a weekend to ourselves, so we visited Feast, known as a good brunch spot near Olympic Park.
The exterior caught my eye right away. The brick building has a European feel, and the black-and-white striped awning makes it look stylish. There is also terrace seating, which looked lovely for eating outdoors on a nice day. It seems like a good fit for an Olympic Park date course, too.
What we ordered at Feast and the prices
We ordered three dishes on this visit.

- Salchi basil cream risotto ₩32,000
- Gambas Toowoomba gnocchi ₩27,000
- Bacon cream pasta ₩19,000

The moment the food came out, I was wowed by how it looked. The plating was pretty and the ingredients were clearly used generously. If you like taking photos of your food, you will be happy with this.
Salchi basil cream risotto: my favorite
The first dish I tried was Feast's salchi basil cream risotto (salchi is a thin-sliced beef cut, salchi-sal).

It was piled with thinly sliced beef, cooked really well. The outside was lightly seared and nutty, while the inside stayed moist and tender to chew. Most impressive was the basil cream sauce. A strong basil sauce can be hit or miss, but here the aroma was gentle and spread softly, so it's the kind anyone can enjoy.
The risotto wasn't too thick either, just creamy enough to go well with the beef. It wasn't salty or harsh, and let the flavor of the ingredients shine, so it was my personal favorite. My husband enjoyed this one the most, too.
Gambas Toowoomba gnocchi: a thick, not-spicy cream sauce
Next was Feast's gambas Toowoomba (a creamy, mildly spicy Korean-style cream sauce). Plump shrimp came in generous amounts, and even the color of the sauce made me hungry. The usual creaminess of Toowoomba plus the savory depth of gambas made it addictive. The shrimp were bouncy and not tough at all.
The spice level isn't strong, so I think you could come with kids and not worry. The thick sauce goes well with the gnocchi, and every bite was satisfying. If you love cream sauce, you will definitely be happy with this one.
Bacon cream pasta: loaded with cheese, never gets boring
Last was Feast's bacon cream pasta.

What surprised me when I first saw the plate was the amount of cheese. It was heaped on top of the pasta and full of nutty flavor. The wide noodles held the cream sauce well and went down smoothly.
There was plenty of bacon too, with a nice chew, and a subtle hint of black pepper cut the richness. Cream pasta can feel heavy partway through, but Feast's bacon cream pasta never got boring, all the way to the end.

Is the food at Feast heavily seasoned?
Overall, the food at Feast was not heavily seasoned, and that was the best thing about this meal. Restaurant food these days is often harsh and intense, but nothing here was too salty or too sweet. That let me taste the ingredients themselves, and my stomach felt comfortable after the meal.

Feast's atmosphere and parking
The inside of Feast is clean, and the tables are spaced widely, which made it good for talking. Free parking is another plus. There were plenty of couples having brunch and some families too. The quiet, comfortable mood let us chat at a relaxed pace while eating.
It's a good stop after a walk in Olympic Park, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a date spot in Seongnae-dong.

Would I recommend Feast for brunch near Olympic Park?
Feast is a brunch restaurant that wins with good ingredients and balanced flavors rather than flashy, intense tastes. It was a thoroughly satisfying, leisurely lunch with my husband.
If you're looking for a brunch spot with a nice atmosphere near Olympic Park, I recommend giving Feast a try. The salchi basil cream risotto, gambas Toowoomba and bacon cream pasta were all satisfying, and because the seasoning isn't heavy, we could enjoy every dish to the end. I'd 100% come back to this Seongnae-dong brunch spot.
