What did I prepare as a gift for my parents?
While considering a Parents’ Day gift for my elderly parents-in-law, I chose Blue Ribbon Heukmidam Premium Black Goat Extract. I gave it to them and tried it myself as well.

It came in three boxes of 10 sachets each. Since the boxes were separated, they were easy to store, and it was convenient to take out one sachet at a time when needed. The packaging was neat too, which I liked for giving it as a gift.
What product information did I look at when choosing it?
When choosing the product, I noticed the introduction related to the Blue Ribbon Survey. The explanation that interest from customers who sampled it at the Namyangju main store led to online sales was also one reason I became interested.
The product introduction stated that it uses 100% Korean female black goats as its raw ingredient.
According to the product description, it contains 90% black goat extract and 10% blended plant extract. It says 19 ingredients are blended and simmered at a low temperature for 24 hours without additives.
How were the gamey smell and rich flavor when I tried it?
To my taste, I did not notice a gamey smell. The first taste was subtle and smooth, followed by the deep, rich flavor characteristic of black goat. It was rich yet clean, so it went down without feeling heavy.
It had a dark color, and a nutty aroma came through first. After receiving it and trying it myself, the taste was better than I expected.
I also looked at the information stating that it is made in a HACCP-certified manufacturing facility. The details about the facility made me feel reassured when drinking it.
How did I warm it before drinking?
I drank one sachet at a time, once or twice a day. I poured it into a cup and heated it for about 30 seconds, or warmed it in a hot-water bath; I preferred drinking it warm. Afterward, I felt warm and comfortable.
How did my parents respond after I gave it to them?
