Seocho pork belly restaurant: ₩63,000 aged set for two at Cheontong
In short
Cheontong Seocho Yangjaesimineusup Station Branch is a company-run aged pork restaurant in Seocho, Seoul, a 5-minute walk from Yangjae Citizen's Forest Station Exit 3. A couple visited on a weekend and ordered the Cheontong Set A (650g, 63,000 won) — aged pork belly, aged pork neck, aged pork jowl and gochujang pork belly — with a self-serve bar of wrap vegetables, pickled radish wraps and myeongi (wild garlic leaves). At 650g the set filled two adults and would easily stretch to three, so the price felt more than fair.

My husband and I were craving good-quality meat over the weekend. We debated where to go, and then remembered a place near Yangjae Citizen's Forest that's known as a great Korean BBQ spot, so we headed straight there.

It's Cheontong Seocho Yangjaesimineusup Station Branch! Since it's a headquarters-run direct branch, the place felt clean, and the owner greeted us so kindly that I was in a good mood from the moment we walked in. Beyond the quality of the meat itself, the self-serve bar and side dishes were all done properly. Here's my honest review.

Where do you park at Cheontong Seocho?
Cheontong Seocho Yangjaesimineusup Station Branch has dedicated parking right next to the restaurant, and if it's full, they'll cover the fee for nearby public parking. Being close to the station made it easy to get to, and with parking support included, it was convenient even if we drove.

The interior was spacious and pleasant too, perfect for my husband and me to eat comfortably.
Another great thing about this place is the well-stocked self-serve bar!

Cheontong's self-serve bar: wrap vegetables, myeongi and sauces
Cheontong's self-serve bar had fresh lettuce wraps, side dishes and sauces all kept neat and tidy — it really felt orderly. Being able to grab more of whatever we ran low on, without hesitation, made the whole meal that much more satisfying.
Above all, the owner kept checking in on us throughout the meal, kindly asking if we needed anything — it made for a much more pleasant, relaxed dinner.
Cheontong Set A (650g) for 63,000 won: what's in it

Looking over the menu at our table, we ordered the Cheontong Set A, which lets you taste a good variety of cuts. True to its reputation as a great Korean BBQ spot near Yangjae Citizen's Forest, the main set was generous.

What's really unique here is the grill itself. This was the first place I've seen with so many side dishes arranged around it.

The fresh salad with its tangy sauce was great for whetting the appetite.

I was so touched they even give you perilla leaves and lettuce for wraps. Plus bean sprouts and green onion shreds to grill alongside the meat — the seasoning was seriously addictive.

The Set A we ordered is made up of aged pork belly, aged pork neck, aged pork jowl, and gochujang pork belly.

Is 650g of pork enough for two people?
Cheontong Set A's 650g is enough for two big eaters to eat until they're stuffed, and plenty even for three adults. The moment the meat arrived at the table, both my husband and I were impressed.

It wasn't just the generous 650g portion — the thickness of the meat, the marbling, and the vivid color of the aged raw meat all pointed to serious quality at a glance. We started with the aged pork belly and aged pork neck first, laying the thick cuts on the grill.

The aging really showed in the aroma as it cooked. I'd actually had a late lunch that day and wasn't very hungry, yet the two of us finished this entire portion!
While the meat cooked, we had steamed egg on the side — look how fluffy it is. Wow.
Grilled to a golden brown, one bite in and it was crispy outside, packed with juice inside — the texture was just incredible.

The self-serve bar even has radish kimchi, wild garlic leaves, and chili peppers. Cheontong really seemed like a place with nothing left to want for.

Enjoying it with the fresh lettuce wraps from the self-serve bar doubled the savory flavor.
Aged pork jowl on the grill
Grilled next after the aged pork jowl, this cut had that distinctive slightly chewy, tender texture unique to jowl. The savory fattiness that spread with each bite showed off a different charm from the leaner pork neck.

Finishing with gochujang pork belly
After enjoying the raw cuts, we finished off with the gochujang pork belly! The seasoning wasn't too strong or too sweet — a spicy-sweet, savory flavor that stuck perfectly to the palate, and grilling it in with that charred aroma made for a perfect ending.

It cut right through the richness of the meat, so we happily finished it down to the last piece.
Is Cheontong Seocho worth it? Final verdict

From the deep flavor of the aged raw meat to the spicy seasoned pork belly, the 650g set was so full of variety we never got tired of it, which made the ₩63,000 price feel well worth it.

Thanks to the owner's friendly service and the generous self-serve bar, my husband — who loves eating a bit of everything — was also very satisfied.

If you're looking for a filling, high-quality restaurant around Yangjae-dong or Yangjae Citizen's Forest, I'd definitely recommend visiting Cheontong Seocho Yangjaesimineusup Station Branch!
