What is Taqueros Magok Main Branch like?

Taqueros Magok Main Branch is a Mexican family restaurant on the 2nd floor of Magok GMG Tower. It's been a while since I came out to Magok~~ There are so many really good restaurants around here, and the one I tried today is the family restaurant Taqueros Magok Main Branch (타케로스 마곡본점).

Even before going in, the Texas BBQ pork ribs displayed at the entrance look so good, don't they? They say the ribs are sous-vide for over 24 hours and then given a smoky flavor on a direct-fire grill, so now I already want them. Taqueros Magok Main Branch also has well-built set menus, which makes it a good family restaurant in Magok for visiting with a group.

Interior and atmosphere

The inside of Taqueros Magok Main Branch has a strongly American interior concept. I love the decor here too. I've never been to America (?), but it totally feels American~~

The overall mood is great, so it seems good for a family visit, a company dinner or a date.

Taqueros set menu prices and how to order

Taqueros Magok Main Branch has no separate paper menu; you check the menu and order with the QR code on each table. There are three signature sets.

• Taqueros Signature Trio Set ₩67,000
• Taqueros Signature Family Set ₩84,000

Taqueros is strong on set menus, and you can also order ribs, tacos, chimichanga (deep-fried burrito), enchiladas, quesadillas and more a la carte.

Lime draft beer is ₩3,500 with a set

That day I ordered the Taqueros Signature Couple Set for ₩59,000 plus two lime draft beers (+₩3,500 each), ₩66,000 in total. The lime draft beer is normally ₩5,000 on its own, but ordering it with a set takes ₩1,500 off to ₩3,500, so keep that in mind!

Complimentary nachos and the lime draft beer

Ta-da, the complimentary nachos and lime draft beer came out first.

Ahh, nothing beats a cold beer on a muggy day. Squeezing in the lime adds a fresher aroma, so it's even more refreshing and tastier!

Also, I absolutely love thin nachos with no seasoning, and Taqueros' nachos are exactly those. Even with no other snacks, these nachos alone could make a glass of beer vanish in a flash!

What's in the Taqueros Signature Couple Set

The Taqueros Signature Couple Set (₩59,000) consists of Texas BBQ ribs, a fish taco and a chicken taco.

Let's start with the tacos!

Fish taco: craft beer-battered fish and chips

I tried the Taqueros fish taco for the first time this visit, and it holds nicely fried fish and chips. Maybe because it's fried in a craft beer batter, it's extra crispy! Since this was so good, I bet the fish and chips sold a la carte are tasty too.

Chicken taco: adding cilantro is a must

I asked for jalapeños and cilantro and piled a ton of cilantro onto the chicken taco, and for a cilantro lover it was so delicious. With Mexican food you absolutely have to add cilantro.

How were the Texas BBQ ribs?

These are the Texas BBQ ribs I'd been looking forward to since before I even walked into Taqueros Magok Main Branch.

Oh, this is really good? The meat comes off the bone so easily, it's tender, and there's not even a hint of gaminess. And I like the subtle smoky flavor. They say the ribs are rubbed with a house-made rub, cooked at low temperature, then brushed with barbecue sauce and grilled, and with that much time and effort put in, they taste even better.

Jalapeño ketchup on the table

Every table at Taqueros Magok Main Branch has hot sauce and ketchup. The ketchup is jalapeño-flavored, which was so interesting that I tried it. It's a ketchup with a slightly spicy finish, and dipping fries in it was yum yum~~

Taqueros Magok Main Branch has a great atmosphere and every single dish was delicious. If you're looking for a good family restaurant in Magok, Taqueros Magok Main Branch is worth a visit!
